Learning Commons and Memorial Garden at Marywood University Dedicated

The design team of Bohlin Cywinski Jackson joined the official dedication of the new Learning Commons and Motherhouse & Seminary Memorial Garden.

The design team of Bohlin Cywinski Jackson and hemmler + camayd architects joined faculty, staff, students and alumni at Marywood University for the official dedication of the new Learning Commons and Motherhouse & Seminary Memorial Garden. The ceremony for the building, known as “the intellectual and social heart of campus,” kicked off a week-long celebration of the University’s centennial anniversary.

Marywood is the first university in the United States to house 95% of its entire collection within an Automated Library System (ALS), allowing the space to be maximized for private and group study. Within the library’s open, expressive architecture, the ALS is visible and celebrated as it retrieves collection items from its bins.

Please join us in congratulating the design team and Marywood for empowering the next generation of students!
